Recently there have been reports coming in of a security hole in some irc networks. Personally I think this is more of social engineering (read stupidity) on behalf of the network operators

There have been rumors going around about a certain user (DnTVideos) and his involvement and others that the database was released to the public.

A lot of the operators that are on that network are well known on others, and that the passwords could have slipped out to friends. Who knows? we don't!

Anyway lets applaud the users and people of this network for a mighty failure that is GeeksIRC.
Without you I wouldn't have a story to write about today.

Have fun with all of the people leaving your failure of a network for more stable ones. At least you still have your friends TJ and Jenn by your side..

As a side note, as I wrote this they were also having a botnet attack. Apparently RC has made many enemies as of late. Should teach you to not be a drama queen or stab your friends in the back.
